The FSC US team met with nearly 50 stakeholders in Knoxville, TN on March 11, 2026. The morning session featured a deep dive into the the new Forest Stewardship Standard Version 2.0 and a facilitated group workshop for additional idea generation on implementation of the updated standard.
Afternoon presentations and discussions included the current revision process for Chain of Custody Standard, our three-year strategy and the impact it could have on the Appalachian region, and Verified Impact Ecosystem Services.
University of Tennessee Cumberland Forest Tour
Attendees were treated to a presentation on how the University of Tennessee is managing FSC-certified lands in the Cumberland Mountains followed by a field tour to see the impact of the University's efforts firsthand.
